Today on WWE Speed, Sol Ruca successfully defended her WWE Speed Women’s Championship against Alba Fyre, securing the win with a Sol Snatcher with 49 seconds left in the five-minute match. This marks Ruca’s second championship defense since winning the championship from Candica LeRae in April 2025. She also defeated Ivy Nile.
The match, taped on Tuesday, July 8th at the WWE Performance Center before WWE NXT started.
This weekend, Sol Ruca faces two more championship matches. On Saturday, she defends her NXT Women’s North American Championship against Izzi Dame at WWE NXT Great American Bash. On Sunday, at Evolution 2025, she and Zaria challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships in a fatal four-way match against champions Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, WWE Raw participants: Asuka and Kairi Sane, and the WWE SmackDown participants: Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
