Disney D23 has a massive day on Friday and Saturday. There was a wave of announcements. The new X-men movie is officially happening on May 5, 2028. It will have Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, and Samara Weaving as Emma Frost. Kristen Bell confirmed that in Frozen 3, Anna is getting married.

Princess Diaries 3 Update
Anne Hathaway thanked fans for their patience. She assured the crowd that Disney is working hard to get “The Princess Diaries 3” right before bringing Mia Thermopolis back to the screen.
The New Simpsons Movie
D23 debuted rough footage showing a wild, townwide chase through Springfield that capped off with a classic Simpsons’ gag: Everyone yelling “D’oh!” at once. It is supposed to be out in theaters September 3, 2027.
Coco 2 Officially Unveiled
Fans will be returning to the Land of the Dead in 2029. “Coco 2” picks up a few years later with an older Miguel. Benjamin Bratt will be returning as Ernesto de la Cruz who is now out for revenge.
Incredibles 3 Officially Unveiled
Pixar revealed “Incredibles 3” for the summer 2028. Violet and Dash step up as real Supers. Mr. Incredible feel less needed and a new villain looms.
First Look: Gatto
They unveiled new footage from Pixar’s “Gatto.” It will star Mark Ruffalo as a cat caught up with a feline crime boss in Venice. It is supposed to be in theaters March 5, 2027.
Frozen 3
Frozen 3 will continue Anna and Elsa’s story in Arendelle. The film is officially set for November 2027. It will be eight years after Frozen 2.
Zootopia 3
Zootopia 3 is officially in development. It will be bringing audiences back to Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde’s world following Zootopia 2.
Percy Jackson Season 3
Disney’s D23 revealed new footage from “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” Season 3. It’s based on “The Titan’s Curse.” It will premiere on Disney+ November 20, 2026.
First Trailer: VisionQuest
D23 revealed the “VisionQuest” trailer. It will be closing the WandaVision trilogy. Vision (Paul Bettany) hides from a bounty hunter as a mysterious boy claims to be his son, with Ultron (James Spader) lurking in his mind. It will premiere on Disney+ October 14, 2026.
Clay
Disney announced Clay. It is a brand-new animated feature starring Kieran Culkin. It is currently planned to hit theaters in November 2028.
Oswald
Disney’s D23 is bringing Oswald the Lucky Rabbit back with a new project. He was created by Walt Disney in 1927. Oswald predates Mickey Mouse and is one of Disney’s oldest characters.
Kingdom Hearts is Becoming a TV Series
Disney announced “Kingdom Hearts: The Series” is coming to Disney+. No further details were shared like a release date or format.
First Look: Ghost Market
Pixar unveiled “Ghost Market.” It is about a boy who finds a hidden market connecting the living and the dead. It is Pixar’s first dive into the supernatural. Spring 2028.
New Trailer: Avengers Doomsday
Marvel debuted a new “Avengers Doomsday” trailer at D23. It spotlighted Doctor Doom’s rampage against Earth’s heroes. Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds confirmed they are joining as Wolverine and Deadpool. In theaters December 18, 2026,
Kingdom Hearts IV
Disney’s D23 revealed a new “Kingdom Hearts IV” trailer featuring a world based on Pixar’s “Coco” with Sora teaming up with Miguel and wielding a Coco-themed Keyblade. Launching late 2027.
Bluey
Bluey is heading to the big screen with its first feature-length movie. It will bring Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli to theaters in August 2027.
Ice Age: Boiling Point
Fresh footage from “Ice Age: Boiling Point” showed Scrat teaming up with a baby squirrel to dodge a volcano. The herd will be exploring the Lost World. Hits theaters February 5, 2027.
