Happy Friday, we’re here to tell you about what to watch in the theaters this weekend (September 18th-20th.) What to watch in the theaters is always the question in my house. When Samuel (Ethan Hawke) is torn from his daughter and sent to a brutal prison, Warden Clancy (Russell Crowe) offers him a high-stakes proposition: smuggle gold out of a remote mine with a dangerous crew of prisoners and he’ll win his freedom.
Without Blood (PG-13) – IN THEATERS
In a frontier landscape at the beginning of the 20th century, gunmen descend on a remote farmhouse, determined to exact revenge. Their target, a doctor who is alone with his son and daughter. He tries desperately to protect his children, inevitably, bullets fly. Starring: Salma Hayek, Demian Bichir. Director/ Writer: Angelina Jolie
Bad Apples (Rated R) – IN THEATERS
A struggling primary school teacher is forced to take drastic action because of foul-mouthed, violent student, and uncovers how her community will turn a blind eye to the most outrageous events to preserve harmony and their sense of safety. Starring: Saoirse Ronan, Jacob Anderson, and Sean Glider.
If I Go, Will They Miss Me (Rated R) – IN THEATERS
A poetic, emotionally expansive father-son story about a black family, grace, imagination, and the hope that love can transform even the most fragile relationships into something more healing and beautiful.
April X (Rated R) – IN THEATERS
When his twin sister April (Lilly Krug) goes missing, Bax (Connor Storrie) searches every corner of their futuristic, post-Soviet cityscape to find her. Ultimately, descending into a violent criminal underworld and madness, Bax is forced to control the cost of identity, love and survival.
Tiny Fugitives (Rated R) – IN THEATERS
A reckless group of twelve-year-olds set out on a mission to spend the rest of their lives at sleepaway camp. They’ll just have to get past Bob – the camp’s deranged, relentless, 50-year-old lifer counselor. Starring: Johnny Knoxville and Benjamin Pajak
