Heading into the 2026 season, Front Office Sports reports that both the SEC Network and ACC Network will start with new announcing teams.

Former Georgia QB, Aaron Murray and Matt Schumacker will lead the SEC Network’s top booth this fall. Wes Durham and former USC and Pitt QB Max Browne will call the ACC Network’s primetime games.

SEC Network Announcer Teams

The SEC Network’s top announcing team last season was Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers, and Cole Cubelic. They were one of the longest-running commentary trios with nine years together. During Awful Announcing‘s 2025 College Football Announcer Rankings, they ranked 11th out of 25 teams.

Jordan Rodgers is departing that booth following his promotion to a larger role in ESPN’s college football coverage. The specifics of what Rodges will be doing hasn’t been announced. Chase Daniels will be replacing him on SEC Nation and his spot on Thursday night game assignments. Matt Schumacker left his spot calling games with Dustin Fox. Aaron Murray called games with Lowell Galindo and Lauren Sisler.

ACC Network Announcer Teams

For the fourth year in a row, the ACC Network will add another new analyst. Wes Durham was launched as the network’s lead football announcer at its 2019 inception. His partners were Roddy Jones and Eric Wood. Then Durham moved on to Tim Hasselbeck and Taylor Tannebaum. Afterwards, in 2024 he moved to a crew with Tom Luginbill and Dana Boyle. Last season, Durham was with Steve Addazio and Dana Boyle. In the Awful Announcing’s rankings, they were 20 out of 25 announcing teams.

In 2025, Matt Browne called ESPN games with Chris Cotter and Kendra Douglas in the secondary ACC Network booth. Dave Flemming is leaving the network. So, ESPN needs to pick up ground by rebuilding its college football announcing depth in order to handle all their games.
